We were called to this leaking shower tray that had been leaking through the ceiling when in use, our initial investigations found that the factory seal on the screen had failed allowing water to get through onto the floor and down a small gap in the poorly fitted plinth. The sealant around the tray did not appear to be leaking, however it had been very poorly sealed up with clear sealant that had got all over the tray and tiles and a poor quality plastic edging strip had been stuck over the top.

We removed the screen, edging strip and sealant, cleaning the shower tray and tiles back and cleansing with antibacterial wipes. The screen was then replaced with a better quality screen that has only 1 replaceable seal on the profile and was fully sealed into place with clear silicone. The tray was then totally resealed with white sealant and then the plastic plinth was refitted and sealed up.

The end result brought a new lease of life to this old walk in shower enclosure, freshening it up and resolving the leak.

Problem solved here at this large nursery, the heating system had not been functioning at all and we discovered part of the problem was that two check valves had become blocked with sludge, we removed these, flushed the rest of the system and cleared a large amount of sludge out of the system, the system is now running very efficiently.

Often leaks can be difficult to trace, when damp spots appear on ceilings or water begins to come up through your flooring, it can be a daunting task to locate the source of the issue.

Our engineers have a wealth of experience in tracing leaks, often finding the source and stopping the leak within a 1 hour call out. If you have noticed damp where there wasn’t any before or have noticed a damp smell in your bathroom or kitchen, we can help to locate and repair any water leaks and get your property back in good shape.

Power flushing your central heating system can remove cold spots from radiators, prolong the life and improve the efficiency of your boiler, which in turn will save you money on your central heating bills.

This was a particularly dirty system and using thermal imaging, we were able to see just how much sludge we removed and where the cold spots had been cleared from the radiators.
